Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us, plus basic usage data about how the site is used:

• Contact form details. When you submit an inquiry, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and any message content you choose to provide.
• Home-Buying Readiness Check answers. The readiness check on our Ready to Buy page scores your answers in your browser, and nothing is sent to us just for taking it. If you then choose to send your answers, we receive your name, email address, your result, and the answer you picked for each question: how you describe your monthly budget, where your credit score stands, how steady and documented your income is, what you have saved toward a down payment, how your non-mortgage debt compares to your income, and when you hope to buy. We use these answers only to understand your situation and follow up with you about our services.
• Newsletter and guide downloads. If you subscribe to the newsletter or download a free guide, we collect your email address and when and how you signed up. Downloading a guide also adds you to the monthly newsletter, as the download form says.
• Booking details. When you book a call, you enter your details directly into our scheduling provider, Cal.com.
• Usage and analytics data. Like most websites, we automatically collect standard log and device information, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects a cookie identifier. See “Cookies and analytics” below.

The readiness check asks only for general descriptions, never exact figures. Please do not share account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial details through the website.

How we use your information

• Respond to your inquiries, schedule discovery calls, and provide the services you request.
• Send newsletters, updates, and marketing emails when you subscribe or download a guide, and manage your subscription preferences.
• Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve its content, performance, and usability.
• Maintain the security of the website and comply with our legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics does not load, and sets no cookies, unless you choose Accept. If you choose Essential Only, or ignore the banner, it stays off. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to count visits and see which pages are useful, and Google processes that data under its own privacy policy.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which runs for every visitor and does not use cookies. It counts page views and a few site actions, such as sending the contact form, signing up for the newsletter, downloading a guide, tapping our phone number, or clicking through to book a call. These counts do not include your name, email address, or phone number.

Your choice is saved in your browser. To change it, use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back. If you switch to Essential Only, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach and stop loading it. Clearing this site’s data in your browser also resets your choice.

Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the trusted service providers who help us operate our business, and only as needed to provide their services:

• Supabase: our database provider, which stores contact form submissions, readiness check answers you send us, and our newsletter list.
• Cal.com: our scheduling provider, which processes the details you enter when you book a call.
• Resend: our email delivery provider, which sends our replies, guide downloads, and newsletters, and delivers form submissions to our inbox.
• Google Analytics: website usage and traffic analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Vercel: our website hosting provider, which also runs our cookieless Vercel Web Analytics.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Email marketing and your choices

If you subscribe to our newsletter or download a guide, every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may also email us at layla@dawnfinancialstrategies.com to be removed from our mailing list. We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain our client relationships, and to meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Contact form messages and readiness check answers are kept with your contact details until we no longer need them to follow up with you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we never email you again by mistake.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, opt out of marketing communications, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (under the GDPR) may have additional rights, including data portability and the right to withdraw consent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated through the website or by email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
